tnsManager is basically a very compact and focussed LDAP server; in fact all it has been designed to do is serve tnsnames - nothing else. Because of this, it requires very few system resources and it is extremely simple to configure - it usually takes less than 10 minutes to install!
Client compatibility:tnsManager is compatible with the following Oracle client versions (on any platform): 8i, 9i, 10g & 11g. It also works with the Oracle instant client (10.1.0.4 and later).
System requirements:tnsManager is available for Linux (intel) and MS Windows, although it is capable of distributing tnsnames.ora to any platform (Windows, Tru64, HP-UX, etc.). It requires only 2MB of memory and 500KB of disk space.
